2020 what a year it is for our divers!

With the first England & Scotland Talent Zone Squad Camp of the year now complete, EDC divers Summer and Ben had a fantastic weekend in Leeds and gained lots of valuable experience!

Rostock FINA Diving Grand Prix #2

Huge congratulations to James Heatly who won a GOLD medal at the Rostock FINA Diving Grand Prix #2 event in Germany. Lucas and Gemma partnered up to take GOLD in the mixed 10m synchro event. Gemma finished 4th in the Women's 10m final and Yona competing for Jamaica finished 4th in his 3m springboard semi-final. Lucas finished 5th in his 10m Platform final event.

2020 FINA Grand Prix Rostock

British National Championships 2020, Plymouth

We had some fantastic medal results at the British Nationals held in Plymouth this year. Millie Fowler was brilliant on 1m finishing with a SILVER medal in the final. James Heatly & Ross Beatie won BRONZE in the men's 3m springboard synchro. James had a stunning GOLD and personal best score in a truly world class men's 3m springboard event. Angus and Joe took SILVER and Lucas and Ben took GOLD in their 10m Platform synchro event. Well done everyone!

It was certainly a fantastic weekend of diving showcasing some of Britains best and up and coming talented divers!

2020 British Nationals

Eindhoven Diving Cup 2020, Netherlands

**A huge well done!** to all our divers who are back from the Netherlands representing Scotland at the Eindhoven Diving Cup. The Scottish teal won a total of 10 medals with eight coming from EDC divers, including six GOLD. Great diving everyone!

Armada Cup 2020, Plymouth

**A huge well done** to all our divers competing in the Armada Cup event ! Some fantastic results with Eddie taking BRONZE, Ross taking GOLD, Well done! A massive thank you to all the chaperones and coaches. Brilliant Team work! 

GB Junior Elite Championships 2019, Sheffield

Well done to all those divers who attended the GB Junior Elite Diving Championships. Ben and Rayne performed exceptionally well in their first Elites competition winning SILVER in the Boys 9-13 3m Synchro competition closely followed by Lachlan Stark and Oscar Wilcox who won Bronze.  Lachlan then went on to win a stunning GOLD in the Boys C 3m springboard competition paving the way for more EDC medals with Chloe taking BRONZE in the Girls C 3m springboard.  Chloe and Lachlan both dived superbly well coming 4th in their respective 1m springboard competitions.  Libby reached the finals in both her 3m springboard and Platform competitions reaching a personal best score in all her competitions and Angus was an absolute star ripping those dives and reaching personal best scores in both his 3m springboard and Platform preliminary reaching the FINAL in the Boys A group!  Lewis dived exceptionally well with consistent scores just narrowly missing out on a place in the final. Ellen also did extremely well in a very tough Girls B Group. Lucas and Ben Cutmore (Dive London) went on to win GOLD in the Boys Platform Synchro and Lucas went on to win GOLD in a closely fought and very exciting 10m Platform individual Boys A event. An absolutely fantastic weekend of diving with so much talent coming through EDC!  Many thanks to chaperones, Fiona Sharman, Fiona Thomas and Lee Duke and to our exceptional coaches Jen and Becky!

2019 British Elites Junior


This is the website of the Edinburgh Diving Club.

The Club is based at the Royal Commonwealth Pool in Edinburgh. The Club conducts coaching and competition for Springboard and Highboard diving at all levels of ability from Novice to International.

The Club was constituted in 1971 following the construction and Opening of the Royal Commonwealth Pool for the Commonwealth Games in 1970.

Since that time, many further international, LEN and FINA diving Meets have been staged in Edinburgh with Club members playing key event management roles.

The club has been the mainstay of SASA diving teams since the 1980s and some of its divers and officials have been included in GB teams.

England Talent - Zone Squad Diving Selections 2018/2019

England Talent have been working in alignment with Scottish Swimming to deliver training camps for both English and Scottish athletes.

Many congratulations to Ben Sharman and Summer Ross who have been selected for Swim England’s ‘Team Z’ talent programme. This is on the back of the talent games event held in Leeds where they both medalled. Summer and Ben, who both train in Elite Potential will attend a number of training camps over the next 2 years. They will have the opportunity to train alongside some of the best young divers in the UK including our current EDC divers Chloe Sinclair, Lachlan Stark and Rayne Hamilton. Well done Summer and Ben for your achievements! Camp Dates have been updated on the Competition Calendar.

2020 Success at EDC...

Great results also for the first SASA Levels of 2020 where Team Edinburgh competed against divers from across Scotland. Well done to everyone who competed, especially those who have just moved up a level! Thank you to all the coaches, judges and recorders for your hard work! It was a great day! 2020 EDC SASA Levels

Edinburgh Diving Club held their Annual Prize Giving Awards on the evening of 20 January. It was great to see everyone dressed up having a fun night with their best dance moves. Well done to each diver selected as diver of the squad and to Angus Menmuir for being awarded our most improved diver of 2019. Well done to James Heatly for being awarded diver of the year!
